Run-club software should make the next session easier to understand and administer. Begin with the membership and event workflow your organisers need, then compare products against it. A long list of integrations does not establish that a club will save time or retain more members.
Test one complete event
Create a trial event with a meeting point, time zone, route, pace groups and organiser contact. Ask a member to find it, RSVP and locate a change to the meeting instructions. Check the organiser's view of attendance and permissions without relying on the account that created the event.
For staggered starts, specify the actual start order and what the groups should do at regroup points. Give a late participant a clear instruction rather than expecting them to infer the plan from a live map.
Multi-city events need local ownership
Assign an organiser to each location and state which information is shared globally. Compare starts with explicit time zones. Separate a club-wide participation summary from location-specific routes, weather changes and safety arrangements. Do not assume one central spectator view replaces local coordination.
Membership, payments and permissions
Check who can invite members, change events, export records and manage payments. Free access to a workspace does not necessarily mean every feature or transaction is free. Record the proposed cost for your actual membership size and expected event workflow before migrating.
Ask which records the club can export if it changes tools. Avoid importing personal membership details into a trial unless the club has authorised that use and the permissions are appropriate.
Analytics and integrations
Decide what the club needs to learn: attendance, repeat participation, volunteer coverage or event capacity. A dashboard showing more charts does not prove better decisions. Do not use members' private health or location data as a substitute for an attendance measure.
For Strava integration, distinguish activity sharing from membership sync, event management and data export. Verify each claimed direction with a small authorised test. The sync guide explains why connection does not imply complete transfer.
Runwiv Club OS is in pre-launch and club subscriptions are not currently on sale. Evaluate its intended management workflow, proposed plans and official-source comparisons. No club-growth figures or customer success stories are claimed here.
